Very Happy With This Booster Seat
|
| Review Date: August 13, 2010 |
| Reviewer: KAM, Killeen, Texas |
Pros:
-Reasonable price
-Easy to assemble from box
-Very easy to use in vehicle
-Simple to buckle child using car's own seat belt
-Shoulder guide allows belt to retract easily and without
catching if child leans forward then sits back
-Crash test approved by insurance institute of highway safety
-Transitions to a backless booster
Cons:
-Not for use on airplane -must check as luggage
-No LATCH tethers. Seat itself is not anchored to the car in
any way unless the seat belt is buckled. For example, if
running an errand without child in the car the seat is loose
and can shift in seat unless parent remembers to buckle seat
in with the car's seat belt.
We have been very happy with this seat for our 40lb, 4 1/2 year old and would recommend it to others. Keep in mind that it is impossible to determine the safety of a car seat simply by looking at it. The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety at [...] can provide a great deal of information including picture listings of crash tested seats both recommended and those not recommended based on their research.

| I was a little skeptical at first because I had never used a carseat that used the actual seatbelt out of the car, but I love it. My girls love that they are in "BIG" girl seats, cup holders are wonderful, the lights on the side make nighttime driving more enjoyable since they can now see what they are doing. Seat covers are also very easy to remove and clean. All around wonderful seat. I would recommend to anyone if they have a child atleast 30 pounds!!! |
Perfect for a 4-door sedan
|
| Review Date: March 22, 2010 |
| Reviewer: Lisa Janda, Bucks County, PA |
I have a 4-door sedan and needed two booster seats that would fit and not impede my vision out the back window. These fit both criteria. Did some research and found excellent reviews for the seat in the Cactus print and ordered. So far, so good. They were very easy to put together, fit nicely with ample room between for hats, toys, etc., and, once both boys are buckled in, they seem very secure. Have not heard any complaints about them being uncomfortable. I can see just as well out the rear window as I could with the regular car seats. I have yet to try the little night-lights on either side of the headrest simply because I don't think they're necessary and see no reason to fiddle with them.
My boys are just over the height and weight limit and their heads are where they should be on the headrests. They are also much less squished than when they were in their car seats so this model was definitely a good choice for us. |
