Let me start off by saying I did not buy this on line but in the store where I could sit it side by side with several Britax the Recaro Como. After a week of research I was mainly considerating the Britax Advocate (but did look at several Britax). Lastly, I also already own 2 Recaro young sports for two of my girls. I bought this for a 9 month old.
It is more narrow than the Britax Advocate by almost 1/3, but the sides came out much further and seems to surround the babies head much more. It is so plush it has got to be like sitting in fluff (the Como had the same padding but not the Britax). The inside head support is more solid in this than in the Como and the Britax first head support came out a little then the inside head support was supposed to do the rest. They all had very similar construction for the base. This also has pockets for storing the rear tether when not in use and the latch if not in use.
I really cannot say enough good things about this seat or this company. Check out their web site.
